Cloud County is home to Meridian Way Wind Farm,
recently constructed a few miles south of Concordia. The
wind farm site includes 38,000 acres of land, at an
elevation of 1650 feet. Meridian Way, a 201 megawatt
(MW) wind farm, is owned by Horizon Wind Energy, LLC ,
and will produce over 650,000 MW hours of clean energy.
